The Mental Health Network will connect people with an interest in mental health and wellbeing. It will have people with lived experience of mental ill health at its core and its aim is to create opportunities for individuals to partner with one another, with organisations with an interest in mental health and with the mental health services that are currently provided within the Island to ensure they are the best they can be. The Network will be pro-active, positive, accessible and transparent with a friendly, compassionate, inclusive membership that has co-production at its heart.
The purpose and design of the Network has already been the subject of three co-produced workshops which commenced in Spring this year. The work undertaken has been encompassed in an initial scope of work and Jersey Recovery College (JRC) is delighted to host the next phase of development. The JRC is itself a co-produced service and was established as a result of the contributions of 130 participants. JRC will draw on its experiences of using co-production in setting up and developing the Network.
Over the coming months the JRC will be hosting co-produced workshops to expand on the work already undertaken and to develop the next phase of the project. JRC invites all those who may be interested to participate in these workshops, the dates of the which will be published on our website in due course.
