Since our update at the end of last year, we are delighted to announce the dates and development themes of our upcoming workshops which commence in mid-April. We very much hope that you are able to participate in this unique opportunity to jointly create and develop a mental health network for the Island. By taking part, you will be directly advising upon and influencing the shape of the Network.
At the heart of the Network is the recognition of the value and importance of people with lived experience. This coincides with an intention to ensure that the services and supports available in the Island are more recovery focused. The Network aspires to enable people with lived experience to lead their own recovery and to create opportunities to improve the lives of everyone affected by mental illness by promoting wellbeing and recovery.
We will be holding a pre-brief session on Tuesday 27 March between 5.30pm and 7pm which will be available to everyone. We will also be sending out a briefing paper before the sessions commence. Together the pre-brief session and briefing paper will provide some context to the themes and topics to be explored within the Development Groups and will give an overview of the evolution of the network to date, the principles to be explored, the services available locally and some of the example networks we have identified.
Please note that the deadline for applications is Thursday 1 March.
Further details of the development group workshops and application form can be downloaded here.
We welcome your application to participate in our Development Groups.
